Oops, I’m a day late with this post but here goes! We’ve had another nice week together 🙂 The summer holidays are going by so quickly!
Violet went to a local tennis club in the morning. It’s a club she’s been going to in the school holidays for almost a year. They teach the children how to play tennis by engaging them in many different games to improve their skills. Violet isn’t naturally very sporty but this club has really appealed to her and she’s really developed her skills. She can hit the ball which is more than I can do!!
Violet went to tennis so I had a chilled morning at home with the boys. After tennis we went to a local playground with some school friends for a picnic. The loveliest thing for me to see was that Ezra was welcomed into the game that Violet and her friends were playing. And he was able to hold his own and join in. It says alot for how sweet Violet’s friends are but also made me so proud of Ezra for not being shy and for joining in with the ‘big kids’!
Violet went to tennis and Felix learnt to crawl!!!!! Finally he is crawling after weeks and weeks of rocking on all 4s!
In the afternoon we went to Christmas Tree Farm. Violet enjoyed it so much a couple of weeks ago that she wanted to go back with Ezra.
Ezra is quite weary of most animals so I thought this would be a big ask for him.
And then he even stroked them.
Such a clever boy, Ezra!
Rain. Where did summer go? So I knew we had to go and do something inside (please not soft play!!). We drove to Layhams Farm and the children did some sand art! It held Ezra’s attention for a while and he did make a really lovely picture!
Violet was much more enthusiastic and thoroughly enjoyed the process of peeling the backing paper and pouring the sand on.
The rest of the afternoon was spent playing games at home and watching Moana!
Hooray, Joe was off work. He looked after the boys in the morning while I took Violet to Ruxley Manor Garden Centre. We had tickets to Pixie Manor.
It really was one of the prettiest and most magical things I have ever seen.
Everything was so beautiful.
Ever since Violet has been trying to levitate with the help of a bit of pixie dust!
Saturday and Sunday
On Saturday we went to the Eats from the Streets Food Festival in Orpington which I’ve already posted about here.
And on Sunday we had the laziest day possible! It was verrry much needed.
